For four years, we have distributed coded "Deedle" Cards, which people use in pay-it-forward, random acts of kindness. Beginning next month (July, 2014), those codes will be put on a wristband called a "Kindness Keeper." A Kindness Keeper is worn on your wrist and will accumulate your random acts of kindness as you do them (all kind acts are tied to the unique code on the wristband). After a while (6 months, a year, etc), a person can give his/her Kindness Keeper to another person, who then continues to aggregate acts of kindness on it. Essentially, the Kindness Keeper wristband becomes a pay-it-forward tool that encourages each person who wears it to go out and do more acts of kindness. As it is now, a person must log on to our website, punch in their code, and then view their aggregated list of kind acts. We have been told that an app would be far easier for a person to both view the kind acts they have done, as well as record the new kind acts they are doing.
